Amelia Mattocks Doula

As a birth and postpartum doula I am committed to providing you with the best unconditional care and support during your labor, delivery, and recovery. I believe in trust of the birthing person. With every birth and postpartum period there is something to learn. My practice is client focused. I will facilitate meaningful communication between you and other birth professionals, and I will advocate for client informed birth. I am a birth and postpartum expert, with extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, feeding baby, postpartum period, and emotions.

I have a Masters degree in Public Health Education, and I am a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. In 2010 received birth doula training through DONA International. In 2019 I received birth and postpartum doula training from Doula Trainings International. I have worked in various health education settings, including worksite wellness, SNAP-Ed, Community Health Education, and Sex Education. I am certified to teach the Our Whole Lives: Lifespan Sexuality Education Curriculum. My other teaching experience includes various college level health education courses for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro PHE Department.
