NEW Lunch 'N Learn Season!!

Do you want a FREE opportunity to market the amazing work you are doing for your clients and in our local community!?

In addition to being a birth and postpartum doula in Greensboro, NC I produce informative videos for our community. And, I’m ready to start a new season of my Lunch ‘N Learn video series! This is a unique opportunity for people who work with folks who are pregnant or who have already had babies. In the past I have interviewed other doulas, prenatal yoga instructors, a mental health professionals, a disability advocate, a birth photographers, and a baby sign-language instructor. All of the videos have received hundreds of views via Facebook. I also post the final video of the interview on YouTube. And, now, I’m looking for new folks to help me have another great season of information and education about pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, and babies.

I would love to have a variety of guests in the Greensboro area who offer services to people who are thinking of having children, who are pregnant, who just had a baby, or who are parents of children of any age. I’m especially interested in folks who do community advocacy work, or who work with people who live in underserved communities. Does this sound like you??

The requirements for doing the videos are as follows:

  • Most be comfortable in front of the camera. This doesn’t mean you have to be dressed up or anything, just able to and talk freely about your work and be able to keep the conversation going. I can help with this part too, because I’m the one asking the questions. If you get stuck, no worries! I can pick up with a new question to keep us moving. Everything we say will end up in the video, unless there is a huge mistake, but that has never happened!

  • I release a new video on Wednesday’s at 11:30am via Facebook and YouTube, so we have to shoot the video the week before, and at the latest, the Monday before the day of release. I want them to be as current as possible, so I try not to have too much time in between the shoot and the day of release.

  • It takes about an hour to shoot a video. I set up my equipment, we do sound and frame checks, and I go through some of the questions I will be asking in the interview so you are as comfortable as possible before we shoot. The interview itself should only take up to 15 minutes. This season I really want to keep them to that time limit so I can also post them to Instagram.

  • I can send you sample questions before we meet so you can prepare a bit.

  • Usually, I shoot at my house, but if that isn’t possible, I can come to you. I like to try to avoid this because I never know what the lighting or acoustics are going to be like at another location, and I have more control in my house with that.

  • If you have still images (photos) or good quality video of you doing your work, I can put them in the video! Send them to me before we shoot so I know what they are, and I’ll make sure we talk about that aspect of your work.

  • Most of all, I want this to be fun, and not stressful!

So what do you get out of this??

  • You get the opportunity to highlight the amazing work you do for your clients and in your community!

  • You get a FREE marketing video! You can embed YouTube video on your website or social media page.

  • I will post the video to Facebook (with captions), Instagram, and YouTube via my Amelia Mattocks Doula Services.

  • Connection to new clients through organic shares and likes on social media!

Take a look at the other videos in my series HERE, HERE, or HERE.

I want to hear from you! If you are interested in contributing to this unique project, please fill out the form below. I will contact when I have an idea of when people can come to shoot. I cannot give everyone their first choice of dates, so please select as many as you are available.
